The "Such Great Heights" video versions: iTunes vs The Postal Service
If you haven't seen it yet, check out the side-by-side video of the Apple/Intel ad with the Such 'Great Heights' video.

2006 01-19  Why did Apple censor the iTunes version of the "Such Great Heights" video?

TylerHowarth noticed the iTunes version of the video has some parts blurred out which had been visible in previously released versions of the video.

I put together some side-by side images of these two videos to compare and posted them below.

The video was most likely edited for one of two reasons: Apple blurred the brand name specifically because of its reference to a competing (with Intel) chip manufacturer; or like MTV, Apple cannot show the 'brand' name without permission (ironic, isn't it?) and had to edit it out now that the music video has graduated from a small Indie video, to a commercial (no pun intended) music video.

Edited version on iTunes
Note: The sample on iTunes doesn't illustrate this. The clip that is sampled shows a few shots that remained unedited because you couldn't read it anyway, like the 2 images on the bottom of this page. Since the iTunes video is DRM'd, you gotta buy it to see it, or I'd post a link to another copy somewhere.

In some scenes, the video remains unedited and you can see that the word "Skyworks" is not blurred out; although it is hardly if at all legible, as the images below illustrate
